Peer Review Process

The peer review process for JoPhRA: Journal of Physics Research and its Application generally follows the standard steps applied in academic peer review. Below is an overview of the steps involved:

 Submission of Manuscript

  • Authors submit their manuscripts to JoPhRA through an online submission system or via the official journal email.
  • The editorial staff checks the manuscript to ensure it follows the formatting and guidelines set by the journal.

  Initial Editorial Review

  • The chief editor or a member of the editorial board conducts an initial assessment to determine whether the manuscript fits the journal's scope and focus.
  • If the manuscript is not suitable, it may be rejected outright or returned to the author with suggestions for revision.
  • If deemed suitable, the manuscript is sent for further review by external peer reviewers.

 Peer Review Invitation

  • The editor identifies and invites two or more expert reviewers who specialize in the field of physics or the specific topic addressed in the manuscript.
  • Invited reviewers can accept or decline the invitation. If a reviewer declines, the editor will seek a replacement.

 Reviewing Process

  • Reviewers who accept the invitation conduct a detailed review of the manuscript, evaluating the quality, validity, and relevance of the research presented.
  • The review process is typically double-blind, meaning that the identities of both the authors and reviewers are kept confidential from each other.
  • Reviewers provide comprehensive feedback and recommendations regarding the manuscript, suggesting whether it should be accepted, revised, or rejected.

 Editorial Decision

  • The editor receives the reviewers' reports.
  • Based on the reviews, the editor makes a decision on whether the manuscript should be accepted without revision, accepted with minor or major revisions, or rejected.
  • The editor provides the feedback from the reviewers to the authors, along with suggestions for improvement (if necessary).

 Revisions

  • If revisions are required, the authors are asked to revise the manuscript according to the feedback provided by the reviewers and editor.
  • After the revision is completed, the revised manuscript is resubmitted to the editor for further evaluation. In some cases, the revised manuscript may be sent back to the reviewers for re-evaluation.

 Final Decision

  • Once the authors have completed the required revisions, the editor makes a final decision to either accept or reject the manuscript.
  • If accepted, the manuscript proceeds to publication.

 Publication

  • After acceptance, the manuscript is processed for publication, which includes final checks, formatting, and indexing.
  • Accepted manuscripts are published online and in print editions according to JoPhRA's publication schedule.
